Filtrospec delivers a professional maintenance service to wine cellars. We specialise in the repair and service of all types of winery and cellar equipment, from the receiving of the grapes (destemmers, crushers, sorting tables, grape presses, etc) to pre-bottling (pumps, bulk filters, cross-flow filters, reverse osmosis machines, etc).

Our long-term vision is to have an agency agreement with a supplier in Europe and to improve income and job opportunities by selling new and used equipment.

July, 2017	SAB Foundation Tholoana Programme Filtrospec caught the attention of the SAB Foundation Tholoana Programme and was selected from more than 2,000 applications countrywide to participate in the programme to develop entrepreneurial aspirations. The Tholoana programme specifically supports enthusiastic, passionate entrepreneurs who are committed to building a successful future for themselves and the people their business serves.
2017	Filtrospec staffing After flying solo for a year, Gerold got and trained staff members to build out Filtrospec further. Today Filtrospec has offices in Wellington Western Cape with an office manager and Junior technician
2016	Filtrospec was established With years of experience, Gerold Keffers setup Filtrospec. Gerold Keffers, owner and director of Filtrospec, is one of only three trained technicians who specialise in the service and maintenance of Velo cellar equipment. He is also adept at maintaining other brands of cellar equipment as a result of his in-depth training and experience.
2011 - 2015	Entreprenuer in training Gerold Keffers started out in the industry as a driver for a company that builds wine tanks. “I was really fascinated by the industry and always wanted to learn more. When the opportunity arrived, I grabbed the chance to be become a trainee technician and worked my way to the top. Within 5 years I managed to become chief technician and the idea (to own my own business) started growing from there. Since then I have never looked back.”
